In one paragraph
You have 14 days to change your mind, as long as you have not started watching the course. After that, the way to get your money back is to do the course properly and show us you did — finish every lesson, take at least 84 days, get your business live, make 30 offers, and send us your Proof Portfolio. Do that and we refund every penny, without arguing about whether the course was any good. And if the course is actually faulty, you have legal rights that none of this touches.
Start hereTwo ways to get your money back
There are two, they work differently, and you may be able to use either.
| Route | When | What you have to do | You get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Changing your mind Your legal right |
Within 14 days of buying, before you start watching | Email us. No reason needed. | Everything you paid, in full |
| The Completion Guarantee Our promise |
After you finish the course | Complete it, do the work, send the evidence | Everything you paid, in full |
Separately from both, if the course is faulty — not as described, not of satisfactory quality — you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that neither of these routes replaces. See section 9.
Section 2Your 14-day right to change your mind
Because you are buying online without meeting us, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you 14 days from the date you buy to cancel for a full refund, with no reason needed. This is your right in law, not a favour from us, and it comes first.
You keep that right until you start watching. The law lets the right end for digital content in one specific way: you ask us to start supplying the course before the 14 days are over, and you acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once we have started.
That is what the second tick box before you pay is. It is not buried, it is not pre-ticked, and you have to tick it yourself. You need it to buy, because your dashboard opens the moment you have paid. We count the course as started when you start watching a lesson you bought, not when your dashboard opens, so until you press play the right to change your mind is still yours.
So, in practice
You have paid, and not started watching. Within 14 days of buying you may cancel for any reason at all, and we refund you in full.
You have started watching. Your 14-day cancellation right has ended, and the Completion Guarantee becomes your refund route.
How to cancel
Email info@thecertifiedmethod.com within the window and say you are cancelling. A clear statement is enough — you do not need a form or a reason. We refund within 14 days of receiving it, to the payment method you used.
Section 3The Completion Guarantee
That is the promise and we mean it plainly. You do not have to prove the course was poor, and we will not argue with you about whether it was. Your word is enough on that. What you do have to prove is that you did the work — because the guarantee is for people who did the course, not for people who watched it.
The course works by being done. Every lesson sets a task, every module has a toolkit to fill in, and the whole thing is built so that by the end you have a real business rather than a set of notes. A refund promise with no conditions would mean refunding people who never opened the toolkits, and the honest students would be paying for that. So section 4 asks for five things, and every one of them is something the course already has you do.
One claim per person. If we refund you, your access and your licence end, and you may not buy again later and claim a second time.
We refund the full amount you paid us, not a part of it, to the payment method you used. We do not refund what you spent with anyone else along the way — advertising, tools, subscriptions, freelancers. Those were never ours.
Section 4The five things you must have done
We check the first two ourselves from your account record. You send us the other three.
Every lesson, every lesson quiz, every end-of-module assessment, and the final assessment passed.
Module 4 sets a twelve-week posting rhythm, and it cannot honestly be done faster.
A public profile carrying your one-liner, a landing page collecting email addresses, a welcome sequence running in an email tool, and a working way to take payment.
An offer is a sales conversation, a call, a direct message exchange or a direct invitation to buy, made to a named individual. A public post is not an offer.
The portfolio is the course's own closing exercise in Lesson 12.2, and it is designed to hold exactly what this asks for.
None of this is extra work. Follow the course properly and the evidence assembles itself as you go.
Running paid advertising is not required. Module 7 treats ads as optional fuel for a system that already works, and we are not going to make you spend money with someone else to qualify for a refund from us.
If one of these was impossible for you for a reason outside your control, tell us when you claim and we will look at it on its merits. We would rather hear it than have you abandon a fair claim.
Section 5If you bought the course module by module
The Completion Guarantee asks you to finish all 99 lessons. You cannot do that unless you own all 13 modules, so the guarantee only becomes available once you do.
- If you own all 13 modules, the guarantee is open to you, however you bought them — in one go, section by section, or one at a time. We refund the total you actually paid us.
- If you own some of the modules, the guarantee does not apply yet, because there is no way to complete the course. Your 14-day right in section 2 still applies to each purchase you make.
The 84-day clock in requirement 2 runs from your first purchase, not your last. The 12-month deadline in section 6 runs from the date you completed your set of 13.
Section 6When and how to claim
When
You may claim once you have passed the final assessment, and you must claim within 14 days of passing it. Whatever happens, no claim can be made earlier than 84 days or later than 12 months after the date you bought. A year is a long time to finish a course that can be done in twelve weeks, and we would rather give you the room than argue about it.
How
Email info@thecertifiedmethod.com with the subject line Completion Guarantee claim, from the address on your account, attaching the evidence in section 4 as one submission. Tell us in a sentence or two what the course did not deliver for you. You do not need to justify it and we will not ask you to.
Section 7What happens after you claim
- We acknowledge your claim within 5 working days.
- If anything is missing we tell you once, in a single list, and you have 14 days to send it. We will not come back with a second list of new requirements, because that would be a way of running out your clock, and we are not going to do that.
- We may ask you to show us the live assets on a short video call, or to screen-share the toolkits. It takes about 20 minutes and only happens where the written evidence leaves a genuine question open. Refusing the call without a reason means we cannot verify the claim.
- We give you a decision in writing within 20 working days of your submission being complete.
- If we approve it, you are refunded within 14 days, to the payment method you used.
- If we refuse it, we tell you which of the five requirements we found unmet, and why. You may ask us to look again once, within 14 days, with further evidence.
Honesty. By claiming, you confirm the evidence is your own work and genuinely describes what you did. Fabricated or borrowed evidence voids the claim and ends your access without a refund.
Section 8What we do not refund
- Money you spent with anyone else. Ad budgets, software, domains, hosting, freelancers. We never had that money.
- Your time. We know it is the most expensive thing you put in. We cannot give it back and we will not pretend to.
- A second claim. The guarantee is once per person.
- Access we ended because you broke the terms. Sharing the course, reselling it or submitting false evidence ends access without a refund.
Section 9If the course itself is faulty
Separately from everything above, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says digital content we sell you must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
If it is not — videos that do not play, material that is not what we said it was, a dashboard that does not work — you have the right to have it repaired or replaced, and if that is not possible or we do not do it in a reasonable time, to an appropriate price reduction.
We cannot exclude or limit those rights and we do not try to. They apply on top of the two routes above, with no conditions attached and no evidence to assemble. Email info@thecertifiedmethod.com and tell us what is wrong.
